Quick answers before you call

What should I check before calling for HVAC repair?

Five safe checks: thermostat batteries and settings, the breaker for the system, the air filter, debris and grass clippings around the outdoor unit, and whether supply vents are open. If those look fine, stop there and call us. Anything involving gas, refrigerant or high voltage is our work.

How fast can you get out for AC repair?

It depends on the day and where you sit across the region, but we schedule as tightly as the route allows and we tell you honestly when we can arrive. Call early on hot days. If the house has a health concern, say so and we will try to move you up.

Is it heating repair or do I need a new furnace?

Most no-heat calls are a single failed component such as an igniter, flame sensor, blower motor or control board. Age, repair history and how the heat exchanger looks decide the rest. We diagnose first, then give you both options with the reasoning behind each.

I smell gas near my furnace. What do I do?

Get everyone out of the house first. Do not touch switches or the thermostat. From outside, call 911 or your gas utility and let them make the building safe. Once they clear it, call us and we will inspect the furnace and its gas connections before it runs again.

Do you work on heat pumps and dual fuel systems?

Yes. Heat pumps, gas and propane furnaces, straight AC systems and dual fuel combinations are all regular work for us. Dual fuel setups add a changeover control that can be set wrong, which shows up as high fuel use or a house that never quite warms.

How it works

  1. Step 1

    Tell us the symptom

Call or fill in the quote form and describe what changed. Warm air, no air, a smell, a noise, a breaker that keeps tripping. That detail tells us what parts to bring along.

  2. Step 2

    We diagnose on site

We check the thermostat, the electrical side, airflow and the equipment itself before we quote anything. If the problem sits in the ductwork rather than the unit, we say so plainly.

  3. Step 3

    We repair and explain

Most air conditioning repair and heating repair work finishes in one visit. We show you the failed part, explain what caused it, and tell you what to watch for next season.

Why homeowners call us

  • Propane and dual fuelPlenty of homes in our service area run propane heat or a dual fuel setup with a heat pump. We know how those systems switch over and why a bad changeover setting can leave you cold and burning fuel.
  • Older houses, added ductworkFarmhouses often got ducts decades after they were built, run through crawl spaces and attics. When the equipment tests fine but rooms still fight each other, we look at the duct runs and static pressure.
  • Repair before replacementA failed capacitor, a cracked wire, a clogged drain or a bad control board is a repair, not a new system. We tell you when the equipment is genuinely finished and when it is not.
  • Plain talk on the phoneWe ask what the thermostat reads, whether the outdoor unit is spinning, and when it last worked normally. That two minute conversation often shortens the visit and keeps the repair cost down.
  • All major brands, gas & electricCarrier, Trane, Lennox, Goodman, Rheem, York and more, as an independent company.
  • Straight answersIf a system is not worth repairing, we say so, often right on the phone.

A failing system does not get cheaper by waiting

Heating and cooling problems rarely fix themselves, and a system that struggles all week usually fails on the coldest or hottest day. Tell us what your AC or furnace is doing and we will schedule a look. Call the office or send the quote form and we will follow up.
