Homeowners' pick for heating and cooling across central Kentucky and the Bluegrass

Duct Cleaning — Book a Visit Today

We clean residential air ducts, supply vents and return registers across Georgia, Indiana, Kentucky, Ohio, Tennessee and West Virginia, and the first step is a look inside your return with the blower running. Ducts collect construction dust, pet hair, insulation fibres and whatever the crawlspace sends up through a loose joint. In older farmhouses where the duct runs were added long after the house was built, we often find disconnected boots and panned joists pulling dirty air straight from under the floor. A visit starts with an inspection of the trunk lines and registers, then vacuum and agitation work through access points, then a check of filter fit and return sizing so the mess does not come right back. Call us and describe what you are seeing at the vents.

  • Grey fuzz builds up on the vent covers within a week of wiping them Filter bypass or an undersized return pulling unfiltered air
  • There is a musty smell every time the blower kicks on Moisture in the duct or a wet spot near the coil and drain pan
  • Dust settles on furniture faster than it used to Loose duct joints drawing in crawlspace or attic air
  • One room stays stuffy and the vent barely moves air Blockage, a crushed flex run or a boot that has come apart
  • Allergies get worse indoors, better outside Debris load in the return side and registers circulating through the house

Search for it as duct cleaning or air duct cleaning and you land in the same place: one visit, one written quote.

Duct Cleaning — quick answers

How often do ducts actually need cleaning?

Most homes do not need it on a schedule. We look at it after renovation dust, a rodent problem, water getting into a duct, heavy pet hair, or when you can see buildup at the registers. Otherwise a good filter, changed often, does most of the work.

Will duct cleaning help my allergies?

It can help when the ducts are genuinely dirty or damp, because those particles get pushed into every room. It will not fix pollen coming through windows or a filter that is too thin. We tell you honestly which one we are seeing.

Do you clean the vents and registers too?

Yes. Register and vent cleaning is often the part homeowners notice most, since those covers hold visible grime. We pull the covers, clean them, vacuum the boot behind them and check that the connection to the duct is still tight.

Can dirty ducts make my heating or cooling weaker?

Heavy blockage, a collapsed flex run or a disconnected boot will absolutely cut airflow to a room. That shows up as a stuffy bedroom or long run times. We measure airflow at the registers before we quote any cleaning work.

What does a duct cleaning visit look like?

We inspect the return, trunk lines and a sample of branch runs first. If cleaning makes sense, we set up vacuum collection, agitate the interior, clean each register and boot, then re-check filter fit and look for leaks worth sealing.

Do you use chemicals or foggers in the ducts?

We lead with mechanical cleaning, meaning vacuum and agitation, because that removes material instead of coating it. If there is a moisture problem behind a smell, the fix is finding the water source, not spraying something over the top of it.

How it works

  1. Step 1

    Tell us the symptom

Call or fill in the quote form and describe what changed. Warm air, no air, a smell, a noise, a breaker that keeps tripping. That detail tells us what parts to bring along.

  2. Step 2

    We diagnose on site

We check the thermostat, the electrical side, airflow and the equipment itself before we quote anything. If the problem sits in the ductwork rather than the unit, we say so plainly.

  3. Step 3

    We repair and explain

Most air conditioning repair and heating repair work finishes in one visit. We show you the failed part, explain what caused it, and tell you what to watch for next season.

Why homeowners call us

  • Propane and dual fuelPlenty of homes in our service area run propane heat or a dual fuel setup with a heat pump. We know how those systems switch over and why a bad changeover setting can leave you cold and burning fuel.
  • Older houses, added ductworkFarmhouses often got ducts decades after they were built, run through crawl spaces and attics. When the equipment tests fine but rooms still fight each other, we look at the duct runs and static pressure.
  • Repair before replacementA failed capacitor, a cracked wire, a clogged drain or a bad control board is a repair, not a new system. We tell you when the equipment is genuinely finished and when it is not.
  • Plain talk on the phoneWe ask what the thermostat reads, whether the outdoor unit is spinning, and when it last worked normally. That two minute conversation often shortens the visit and keeps the repair cost down.
  • All major brands, gas & electricCarrier, Trane, Lennox, Goodman, Rheem, York and more, as an independent company.
  • Straight answersIf a system is not worth repairing, we say so, often right on the phone.
